Make New Friends but Keep the Old

on September 11, 2014

One of my friends from Cape Town is visiting next week and I am too excited. It always amazes me when I find that I’ve made a new true friend at this stage of my life. I thought my inner circle was closed. But the Lord continues to surprise me with the gift of true friendship with new people.

Have you been surprised by new friendships you’ve entered later in life?

  1. It’s always fun to find a new friend! Most of my close circle of friends has come at this later stage in my life. Have fun while your friend visits!

I am trying to look for and celebrate some of the blessings of being single. Having more time for friendships is one of those blessings. I have two close girlfriends that I consider part of my inner circle, that I have connected with in the past couple years. I am grateful that I have the time to invest in cultivating those friendships. And I am grateful to have single sisters who understand my experiences.
